Disclosure of Trade Me members' details to defendants
The recent disclosure of Trade Me members' personal information to criminal defendants has caused a great deal of concern. It is not currently clear how or why this particular information came to be in the defendants' hands. The Privacy Commissioner is making enquiries with Trade Me, the Police and the Crown lawyers to find out what happened.
