Forums and seminars

We are changing the way we deliver privacy training. New online training materials will be available, for free, on our website shortly.

We will not be taking any new bookings for our in-house workshops after June 2015 by which time our online training materials will be available.

The new learning resources will be particularly suitable for new privacy officers and others wishing to develop their understanding of the Privacy Act.  View the page for more information.

The online material, like the workshop it replaces, will provide participants with an overview of the Health Information Privacy Code and is particularly suited to people employed in the health sector or interfacing with the health sector.

Topics covered include:

  • Key concepts and definitions
  • Applying the health information privacy rules
  • Practical compliance with the Code and relevant legislation
  • Access to information and disclosing health information
  • Dealing with difficult access/correction requests and complaints
  • Health Act and children's rights
  • Interface with the Official Information Act
  • Security of information

Time: 9.00 am - 1.00 pm
Fee: $210 (includes GST)

2015 DATES: No further dates set for workshops for the remainder of this year.  View our online e-learning modules (see the link above).
