How long will it take for the Privacy Commissioner to consider my complaint?

There is high demand right now for our services, and the team who manage our enquiries and complaints are experiencing significant delays. 

When we assign complaints we consider both the likelihood of harm and the order we received them. At the moment, this means it will likely take more than six months to assign your complaint to an investigator, though we will try to assign it sooner if we can.
